Holding a micro switch square to whatever trips it is the entire job of this bracket. SEBO supplies part 2624 already assembled for the ELECTRONIC 370, so the mount goes back in exactly the place the original occupied.
Micro switches work on very small movements, and they only work reliably while the switch body is held rigid and the actuator moves against it. When the support cracks or loses a fixing, the switch drifts by a millimetre or two and stops being properly actuated. What the owner sees is a machine that behaves differently depending on how the handle is held, or a function that works one time in three, which is behaviour very easily blamed on the electronics.
Fitting a sound support takes the guesswork out of the job before anyone starts replacing parts that were never faulty. With the new bracket in place, work the mechanism slowly by hand and listen for a clean click through the full travel; if the click is there every time, the switching side of the machine is sound.
