    Replacement cable reel for the Miele Guard L1 canister vacuum, genuine Miele part number 12030903 (factory designation KT00-USA-7,5/17AWG). This is the complete US-specification cord winder assembly: roughly 7.5 meters (about 24.5 feet) of 17 AWG, 120-volt power cord pre-wound onto the spring-loaded reel, ready to drop into the chassis. Together with the hose and wand, that cord length is what gives the Guard L1 its 36-foot operating radius.

    A vacuum that no longer retracts its cord, retracts it only partway, or cuts out when the cord is flexed at one spot is usually telling you the reel spring or the cord's internal conductors have failed. Miele services this as one sealed unit — swapping the whole reel is the correct repair, and it restores both the rewind action and a safe electrical connection in a single step.
