This is the genuine Miele 120V suction motor (fan assembly MRG402/81-42/2), Miele part number 7719414 — the current factory replacement motor for a wide range of Miele canister vacuums. It supersedes earlier motor numbers 7638027 and 7719413, so if your old motor carries either of those numbers, this is the correct update.

Compatible Miele models include:

  • Complete C3 / S8000 series (SGFE0): Marin, Brilliant, Kona, Cat & Dog, Calima, Alize, HomeCare

Symptoms that point to a failing motor: a burning smell, loud grinding or whining, intermittent shut-off under load, or noticeably weaker suction with a fresh bag and clean filters. Miele recommends replacing the electronic unit at the same time as the motor for the most reliable repair.
