Part 211CX is a pair of carbon motor brushes for the Lamb Ametek 122556-00 central vacuum motor. MD supplies them as a kit of two identical brushes, because both brushes in a motor wear at close to the same rate and fitting one alone leaves the other due almost immediately.

MD's maintenance guidance is to pull the brushes for a look every couple of years and replace them once they are worn down to three sixteenths of an inch. A motor left running on a fully worn brush arcs against the commutator, which turns an inexpensive pair of brushes into a motor replacement. Loss of power under load and heavier sparking than usual at the brush housing are the symptoms that call for the check.
