Product details
SEBO's AUTOMATIC X7 X8 diagram calls position 112 the motor housing; in the parts list the same item is ordered as 52059UL, the cover that closes over the suction motor inside the body of the machine. One number serves the AUTOMATIC X7 Premium, the AUTOMATIC X7 Pet and the AUTOMATIC X8.
It does two jobs at once, keeping grit away from the motor and holding cooling air on the path the motor was designed around. A cover that has cracked, warped or lost a mounting boss no longer does either properly, and a motor running without its ducting intact gets hotter than it should, which is how a cheap plastic fault turns into a motor fault. Aged plastic and a dropped machine are the usual reasons one comes to be replaced, along with covers broken during a previous motor change.
- Part number: 52059UL
- Also listed as: motor housing on SEBO's parts diagram
- Diagram position: 112, AUTOMATIC X7 X8
- Fits: SEBO AUTOMATIC X7 Premium, AUTOMATIC X7 Pet and AUTOMATIC X8
- Related part numbers: 52112 buffer for the motor cover, 52013 motor support seal, 52194ER vacuum motor, 52040ER motor wiring harness, 52054 cable guide
Refit it with the original screws and check that it sits flush all the way round before the body goes back together, since a cover pinched on a stray wire will crack again in the same place. Change the buffer, 52112, at the same time if the old one has hardened, and look at the motor support seal while the motor is accessible. A cover that has been taped or cable-tied back together is worth changing on principle, because that kind of repair never holds the ducting tightly enough to do any good.
Searches for an AUTOMATIC X8 motor cover, an X7 motor housing, a SEBO upright motor shroud, or part 52059UL all end here. Genuine SEBO, ships in 2-5 business days.
