The motor on a Beam or Electrolux central vacuum power unit sits on a rubber isolation gasket, sized 5.7 inches for this application. Part 145137 is that gasket, used across a wide range of Beam and Electrolux central vacuum units.
Rubber stiffens and cracks with age and heat from the motor. Once the gasket goes, air can bypass the seal around it, which drops suction at the wall inlets while the power unit itself gets noticeably louder in the room where it lives. Because the change happens gradually, many owners do not notice until the noise becomes hard to ignore or a neighboring room starts pulling visibly weaker than the rest of the house. Replacing the gasket while the power unit is already open for service is the easiest time to do it.
