Getting the diameter right matters here, since Titan's central vacuum motors are not built to one size across the whole lineup, and a gasket cut for a different housing will not seat evenly.
The gasket closes the gap between the motor can and the surrounding housing so incoming air is forced through the intake rather than leaking past the seam.
