SEBO Motor Inlet Seal for A...

Product details

A canister that has quietly lost its edge is not always telling you the motor is finished. Often enough the culprit is 8009, the motor inlet seal, gone hard and no longer doing its job. SEBO fits it to the AIRBELT D1 Turbo and the AIRBELT D4 Premium and draws it at position 11 of the AIRBELT D parts diagram.

The seal closes the joint where air is drawn into the motor, so that everything the motor pulls has to arrive through the bag and the filters instead of leaking in around the edges. Rubber shrinks and goes stiff after years of heat cycling. When it does, the motor starts taking part of its air from inside the machine, and the hose feels weak although nothing anywhere in the airway is blocked. It is the sort of slow decline owners tend to write off as age.

Its neighbors on the drawing show how deep the job goes. The internal cable set is 8091AM at position 8, the vacuum motor 8048ER at 9, the cord rewind unit 665613E at 10 and the rewind lever spring 8098ER at 12. SEBO also supplies this seal inside the complete motor cover 8085ER at position 14, which arrives with the rewind lever 8036ER and its spring as well, so compare the two before ordering if the cover itself is damaged. At the other end of the air path, the post-motor filter seal is 8065ER and its holder 8084ER.

  • Machine fitment: SEBO AIRBELT D1 Turbo and AIRBELT D4 Premium canisters
  • Diagram position 11 on the AIRBELT D parts drawing
  • Closes the joint where air enters the motor
  • Also supplied as part of the complete motor cover 8085ER
  • Related numbers: motor 8048ER, post-motor filter seal 8065ER, Filter Set D 8191AM
  • Genuine SEBO part, sold individually as 8009

A sensible item to renew whenever the motor is out, since getting to it accounts for most of the labor. Authorized SEBO dealer; dispatch in 2-5 business days.
