A big motor: part 117507-13 is an Ametek Lamb three-stage bypass unit in the 7.2-inch frame, 120 volts, built to a water-sealed specification. The 7.2-inch frame is what central vacuum power units and larger commercial machines use when a 5.7-inch motor is not enough.
Bypass construction routes cooling air separately from the working airstream, so the windings never see the dirt being moved. Three stages give the water lift needed to pull through the long pipe runs of a whole-house system.
Suction that has faded at every inlet, a burning smell from the power unit, a new grinding or whining note, or a unit that will not start are the signs to act on. Check the number on your existing motor against 117507-13, match the frame and discharge, and disconnect power before starting.
