The motor is the whole central vacuum system in one component: every inlet in the house pulls only as hard as this unit spins. This is the replacement motor for the Titan TCS9902 power unit, 6.6 inches in diameter, ordered as part FM24832701.

Motors give plenty of warning before they quit. The tone changes to a whine or a growl, a hot electrical smell drifts out of the utility room, and suction fades at every inlet no matter how clean the filter and the canister are. Once it reaches that stage, no amount of servicing elsewhere in the system brings the pull back.

Fitting a new motor is a far smaller job than replacing a whole power unit. Cut power at the breaker first, then check the 6.6 inch diameter and the lead arrangement against the motor you are taking out before you seat the new one in the housing.
