Sized for a 35-foot central vacuum hose, this Nadair sock zips closed over the full length of the hose and wraps it in soft gray padding from the wall end to the handle. Match the sock length to your hose, a 35-foot sock on a shorter hose leaves excess fabric bunched at one end.
Longer hoses see more contact over a cleaning session simply because they cover more ground, sweeping past door frames, stair rails, and furniture on the way to each room. Without a cover, that repeated contact eventually shows up as scuffs on the hose itself and on whatever it brushes against.
