This replacement armature fan nut is the fan-retaining hardware used when servicing or rebuilding Lamb vacuum motors (Lamb 7462). It threads onto the armature shaft to hold the cooling fan securely in place.

During a motor rebuild the fan nut must clamp the fan tight and true, because a loose or worn nut lets the fan shift, which causes vibration, noise, and can damage the armature. A fresh nut torqued to specification keeps the fan balanced and the motor running smoothly.
