Product details

One-piece metal handle tube for the Hoover 7069 and 7071 uprights, part 440011573. This is a replacement tube, not a sectioned assembly: the spine runs from the grip down to the body in a single length.

A handle tube gets bent when the machine goes over on a stair or something heavy lands across it, and once it is out of true you feel it on every pass. The vacuum wants to steer to one side and the nozzle no longer follows your hand. Dents low down near the mount are worse, since that is where the load concentrates.

A fresh tube takes out the flex and wobble and gives you back straight, predictable steering. Basic hand tools do the job. Unplug the machine before you start, and check the cord routing inside the handle while it is apart.
