Product details

This is the mains cord for the Oreck Elevate uprights, part 430000281, fitting the UK30100, UK30100PC, UH30100COM, UK30270 and the UK30200PC.

Cords fail at the two places they flex: just behind the plug, and where the cord enters the machine at the strain relief. What you notice is power that comes and goes as the cord is moved, a plug that runs warm, or a length of jacket scuffed open by a doorway. Any exposed conductor means the machine should stay unplugged until the cord has been changed, however well it seems to be running.

Fit it with the vacuum unplugged and route the new cord exactly as the old one ran, so nothing is pinched when the housing closes back up.
