Oreck Halo Upright Harness ...

Product details
This harness wire is the internal lead for the Oreck 6515 upright, sold under the Halo name, one strand of the wiring that keeps power moving inside the machine. Order it as part 87601+008+5000N. It is not a part most owners think about until the machine starts acting up for no obvious reason.
Wiring faults show up as a handful of overlapping symptoms: the vacuum runs, then cuts out mid-pass, or it only starts if the handle is held at a particular angle, or it never starts at all despite a good outlet. A cracked lead or a corroded crimp connector produces exactly that kind of inconsistency, because the fault opens and closes the circuit depending on vibration and position rather than failing outright.
Before ordering, unplug the machine and inspect its internal wiring, looking for insulation that has gone brittle or a connector with corrosion on the pins. If the fault is intermittent and the switch itself tests fine, a failing harness wire is the next logical suspect, and matching the part number to your 6515 keeps the terminations correct for the machine.
Route the new lead exactly the way the old one ran, clear of anything that moves and away from edges that could saw through the insulation over time. If the original run was secured by a clip or a tie, secure the new one the same way, since a lead left loose against moving parts is how a good wire becomes a bad one again.
