Product details
Part 430000991 is the Hall sensor circuit board fitted to the Oreck U2000RB2L-1 upright. A Hall-effect board of this kind reads motor rotation and reports it back to the control circuit, which is a different failure signature than a worn switch or a chafed cord, so it is worth ruling the simpler parts out first before assuming the board is at fault.
Board faults read as inconsistency rather than a clean on-off failure. The vacuum runs, then cuts out with no obvious cause, or starts fine on a cold morning and drops power once it warms up after a few minutes of use. Sometimes it responds to being jostled, sometimes it does not respond at all even though the switch clicks normally and the cord tests sound end to end. That pattern of unpredictable behavior, rather than a single dead symptom, is what points at the board rather than the wiring around it.
It is confirmed for the Oreck U2000EB, U2000RB-1 and U2000RBBW, and is the correct board for the U2000RB2L-1 listed in this title. Unplug the machine fully before opening the housing, and note the connector orientation on the old board before disconnecting it, since the replacement seats only one way and forcing it the wrong way can damage the new part. Keep the old board until the replacement is confirmed working, in case a wiring fault elsewhere in the harness is the real cause.
