This replacement bag retainer spring fits late-model Oreck upright series vacuums from the XL9300 era. It holds the dust bag pressed firmly into the bag compartment, keeping the bag seated against its mount throughout operation.
A spring that has weakened or broken lets the bag shift or pull away from its seal, which allows unfiltered air to bypass the bag and dust to escape. Fitting a fresh spring restores proper tension and a dust-tight seal.
