This is the welded air inlet for the Oreck XL21 upright vacuum, supplied without a pressure tap. The inlet is the molded duct that channels debris-laden air from the brushroll housing up into the vacuum's bag chamber, forming a critical link in the machine's airflow path.
Over time an inlet can crack, warp, or lose its seal, which leads to suction loss and air leaks at the base of the vacuum.
