Bags are the cheapest part of any canister and the one most often pushed too far. Once a bag is past about two-thirds full the paper stops passing air freely, so suction drops off and the motor works harder against the restriction and runs hotter than it should. A bag that feels firm through the door, or a canister that has quietly lost its bite, wants changing whatever the calendar says.
This bag is sized for the 4122 canister's bag chamber and seats on the collar the same way the original does. Buying several at once is sensible, since a machine run on a full bag never cleans well and the bag is not the part you want to be short of.
