Product details
This is the circuit board with the Hall-effect brush roll sensor for the Oreck UK30200 and UK30300 uprights, part 430001004. The board runs the machine's electronics and watches the brush roll through a magnetic sensor, so it knows when the roller has stopped turning.
Boards fail in ways that look like other faults. The machine will not start, or it starts and shuts itself down again; the brush roll indicator stays lit with a perfectly good roller and belt fitted; the controls answer intermittently. Years of heat cycling crack solder joints, and a sensor that has drifted reads a turning roller as a stalled one.
Disconnect the machine from the mains before handling the board. Check the belt and roller first, though, since they cause the same symptoms far more often and cost far less to put right.
