SEBO Pile Adjustment Axle for the ELECTRONIC 370

Height settings that drift back on their own, or a pile adjustment that turns without changing anything, usually mean the axle it acts through has worn or broken. Part 2524 is that axle on the SEBO ELECTRONIC 370.

Pile adjustment raises and lowers the cleaning head so the brush sits correctly in the carpet. Too high and the roller skates over the surface, leaving the grit down in the pile; too low and it drags, loading the motor and wearing the bristle strip flat in a fraction of its normal life. This axle is the shaft that carries the adjustment motion across to the head, so everything the control does has to pass through it. When it wears at the bearing faces or shears outright, the link between control and head is lost, and the setting either slips under load or stops responding at all.

Renewing the axle gives back a positive, repeatable height setting, and the difference is obvious on the first pass over cut pile. Take care with the number: SEBO lists two axles for this machine, and the plain one is 2525. They are not interchangeable, so quote 2524 for the pile adjustment shaft. If the strip itself has worn flat rather than the setting drifting, the height control is not the fault to chase.
