SEBO Pile Height Adjustment...

Product details
Brush height on the SEBO ELECTRONIC 370 is dialled in with this light gray knob, part 2622HG. Turning it moves the roller nearer to or further from the carpet so the bristles work the pile instead of stalling in it.
Knobs of this kind fail in two ways. The splines round off, so the knob turns freely without moving anything behind it, or the detents wear flat and the setting creeps a notch at a time while you clean. Either fault leaves the brush at the wrong depth. Too high and the machine skates over deep carpet picking up very little; too low and it bogs down, drags on the belt and makes hard work of an open room.
Because the knob is the part your hand touches on every carpet change, it is also the part that gets levered, dropped on and eventually snapped. A fresh one puts positive, repeatable height selection back under your thumb, and it is a quick change with the machine unplugged and laid over.
The wheel the knob acts through is a separate item, 2608HG, and is worth checking at the same time: if a new knob turns cleanly but the setting still will not hold, that wheel is the next suspect. Anyone searching for a SEBO 370 pile height knob or a carpet height adjuster knob for an ELECTRONIC 370 is looking at this number.
