Hayden Pipe Collar - 2 Inch...

Product details
This Hayden pipe collar gives a run of 2 inch built-in central vacuum tubing a finished, correctly seated connection point at any spot where the pipe exits through a surface or ends at one. It is a rough-in and repair component, not a decorative trim piece, and its job is to hold the tubing square so the joint behind it stays sealed.
Collars matter most at transition points, where a straight run meets a wall penetration or ties into another fitting. A pipe that wanders off-center at that transition puts uneven stress on the joint, and over time that stress is what opens a hairline gap and starts bleeding suction. Seating the collar squarely before cementing keeps the pipe centered and the joint under even load for the life of the installation.
It is sized for standard 2 inch outside-diameter central vacuum tubing, the diameter found in most residential built-in installations. Dry-fit the run first to confirm alignment, then cement the joint per your system's installation guidelines so it stays airtight once the wall is closed.
Support the pipe on both sides of the collar while the cement sets, since an unsupported run can sag slightly out of alignment before the joint has fully cured. If the collar sits at a penetration through a rated assembly, check whether your local code also requires a separate fire-stop fitting at that location, since a collar alone is not designed to maintain a fire rating.
