Oreck Plastic Fan (5-Blade)...

Product details
This 5-blade plastic fan replaces the suction fan on Oreck's XL upright line across the 2000 and 3000 series machines. Mounted straight onto the motor shaft, the fan is what actually generates airflow through the whole vacuum, so any damage to it shows up immediately in how well the machine cleans.
A chipped rim, a cracked blade, or a fan gone loose on the shaft all produce the same set of warning signs at the nozzle: pickup drops off, a rattle or an odd pitch develops, and vibration increases even with a clean bag and filter installed. Sitting where it does between the motor and the airflow path, a damaged blade can also throw the whole assembly out of balance, wearing the motor bearings down faster than normal.
This listing covers the 2000 and 3000 series XL uprights. Blade count and mounting bore have shifted across production runs within this line over the years, so compare the fan currently in your machine against this replacement before ordering rather than relying on the model number alone.
Fitting a new fan means removing the motor cover, sliding the old one off the shaft, and pressing the replacement on until it seats fully against its shoulder, with the machine unplugged for the whole procedure. Spin it by hand before closing the housing to confirm it clears the surrounding shroud on every side, since even a light rub against the housing will announce itself as a new noise the moment the motor starts.
