Part 775851-EBX is the E-box plug and leads used with Canplas ElectraValve II electrified wall inlets, providing the wired connection point between the low-voltage wiring in the pipe run and the inlet's electrical box.
Electrified central vacuum inlets carry both suction and a low-voltage signal wire that tells the power unit to switch on when a hose is plugged in, and that signal wire needs a secure connector at the inlet end. A damaged, corroded or missing plug at that junction is a common cause of an ElectraValve inlet that has suction but will not trigger the power unit hands-free, since the vacuum still works fine on a wall switch or with the power unit run manually.
It installs at the wiring junction behind the inlet, matching the connector already on the ElectraValve II hardware. Check both leads for a firm connection at each end, since a lead that is seated but not fully crimped can pass a continuity test and still fail intermittently once the inlet is back in the wall.
Order by the full part number rather than the base number. Canplas also sells 775851 without the EBX suffix as a complete ElectraValve rough-in kit with E-box, so the two are not the same item.
