ProTeam Power Cord Assembly...

Product details
Part 834165 replaces the power cord assembly built for two machines in ProTeam's Super Coach Pro lineup: the Pro 6 backpack and the Pro 10 backpack. On a backpack machine this cord absorbs more day-to-day abuse than any other single component, since it goes wherever the operator goes for the length of a shift.
It gets dragged around furniture legs, stepped on, coiled and uncoiled a dozen times over a shift, and yanked from the wall by the cord itself rather than the plug body. Retire it once the outer jacket has split open enough to show the insulation beneath, once the machine cuts power whenever the cord flexes near the strain relief, or once the whole length has stiffened up and refuses to coil flat anymore. None of those symptoms improve with continued use, and a compromised cord on a vacuum worn against someone's back for hours is not a risk worth carrying through a shift.
Let the vacuum sit unplugged for a moment before opening the housing to fit the replacement. Coil the new cord loosely for storage rather than winding it down tight, since a cord habitually wound small will develop the same stiffness and cracking that retired the old one, often within a single season of regular use.
Check the full length of the cord periodically, not just the ends, because a cord that gets dragged around furniture and equipment can pick up damage anywhere along its run, and a small nick caught early is a much easier fix than a full failure mid-shift.
