White version of the power head shell, part 50799WE covers the brush roller drive on a SEBO AUTOMATIC X4 Boost and carries the machine's finish at exactly the point where it meets baseboards and furniture legs. SEBO shows it as position 100 in the AUTOMATIC X4 Boost exploded diagram.
A shell that has cracked or lost a locating tab lets the head flex and opens a route for grit to reach the belt. The complete replacement closes that up in one fitting, with no clips or fasteners to transfer from the old part. White also shows damage sooner than the darker finishes, so this cover tends to be replaced for looks as much as for function — which is fair enough, given it is the part of an upright most often in view.
Function is worth keeping in mind all the same. The shell is what holds the head square over the roller, and a cover that flexes lets the brush run slightly out of line with the base.
