SEBO stocks the upper moulding of the cleaning head on a white AUTOMATIC X5 under 5791SE, and supplies it as a finished assembly rather than a bare panel. It closes the brush chamber, gives the nozzle its visible upper surface and holds the decorative strip along the leading edge.

Very few of these wear out. They break. Around each mounting boss the wall thickness is at its lowest, so an encounter with a stair nosing or a table leg starts a fracture there, and once one has opened the shell begins to flex under load instead of bracing the two sides of the head against each other. The strip along the front then lifts where the crack runs beneath it, dust starts collecting in the opening, and what should be a closed enclosure over a turning roller no longer is. Bonding the break tends to fail again in the same spot, because whatever load created it is still being applied. Buying the assembly complete puts the mouldings and their fixings on the bench together, which is considerably faster than tracking down individual pieces with the head already in bits.
