Graphite darkens the head without going all the way to black, and it is the finish SEBO supplied on machine 9988AM. Part 20337GSET is the graphite upper shell of an ET-1 power head built without an on/off switch, shown at position 132 on the SEBO ET 1, ET 2 Power Heads diagram. It fits SEBO ET-1 Power Heads in the switchless build, including those supplied on the AIRBELT E3 Premium.

Order on two points: the switch and the shade. A plain top with no rocker opening takes this cover, while a head with a switch built into the shell needs a different part number entirely, so the check to make is on the nozzle itself rather than on the machine it plugs into. On shade, graphite is distinct from the gray black used elsewhere in the SEBO range and from plain black, and the difference is far easier to see in daylight against the machine than on a screen. Where there is any doubt, hold the old cover next to an undamaged moulding on the same head.

The shell carries no working parts of its own. It closes the top of the nozzle, keeps the drive and brush assembly enclosed, and holds the shape the head is assembled to, which is why a cracked one is worth dealing with before the split runs any further. A cover that has lost a corner also stops the surrounding screws from clamping properly, and the head begins to flex under load. Fitting a new cover disturbs nothing beneath it — the belt, roller and bearing blocks all stay in place.
