Fifteen gallons of poly tank and a tool kit in the box: that is the PF54 in a sentence, and it covers most of what a shop or maintenance crew needs from a wet/dry vacuum sized for regular rather than occasional use.
Powr-Flite rates the motor at 1.6 horsepower, 1200 watts, moving 114 CFM against 100 inches of water lift through two-stage filtration, so the debris stream is caught in more than one pass before exhaust air leaves the machine. The hose is 1.5 inch by 10 feet with a swivel connector, and the kit adds a two-piece wand, 14 inch carpet and squeegee tools, and crevice and dusting tools. A rear-mounted drain hose empties the tank without tipping it.
Poly earns its place at this capacity mostly on weight. A near-full fifteen gallon tank is already a load to move, and a poly shell keeps that load from getting worse. It also shrugs off routine shop debris and moisture without the corrosion concerns a metal tank eventually meets, which matters on a machine that may sit half full between shifts. For a crew moving between rooms all day, the lighter overall weight adds up across dozens of trips.
