Some jobs produce more water than a fifteen gallon tank holds before someone has to stop and dump it, and the PF55 answers with twenty gallons of 18 gauge stainless steel and tools in the box. Extraction dumps and flood response are the obvious use cases, the work where a crew loses real productivity to trips back to a drain.
The head is the same 1.6 horsepower, 1200 watt unit Powr-Flite fits across this range, rated at 114 CFM and 100 inches of water lift, and it is sound insulated to 77 dB at 8 feet. Two-stage filtration pairs a washable cloth filter bag with a pleated washable synthetic cartridge for fine dust. A 10 foot swivel hose, two-piece wand, and crevice and dusting tools ship with the machine, and tip and pour drainage empties the tank.
Stainless at this capacity follows the same reasoning as the rest of the larger machines: constant liquid exposure and frequent dumping wear through lighter tank materials faster than a professional crew wants to deal with. Twenty gallons stretches the interval between empties considerably against a fifteen gallon unit doing the same work, and on a water job the time lost is rarely the dumping itself so much as the walk to the drain and back.
