Add-on ballast for Powr-Flite's orbital floor machine, catalogued as X1090. The plate adds 22 pounds of mass over the pad, and on an orbital that extra load converts directly into down pressure at the floor.
Down pressure is what separates a light maintenance pass from real removal work. Stripping old finish, flattening a heavily soiled surface, or cutting through built up wax all go faster with weight on the head, while lighter passes on finished floors are better run without it. Because the weight bolts on and comes back off, one machine can cover both jobs.
