This is a replacement wand section for Powr-Flite wet/dry vacuums, sold as part WD29. Powr-Flite specifies it as a one-piece stainless steel tube and lists two of them as required per machine, so order a pair when you are outfitting a machine from scratch.
Stainless holds up where this tube spends its working life, in direct contact with recovered water and cleaning solution. A plated tube can start to show rust once it has been wet and set aside, and the joint on a plastic wand is usually the first thing to crack after it drops down a stairwell. The one-piece stainless build avoids both failure points.
