Part 836099 is the 12V motor for ProTeam's Super Coach Pro backpack vacuums, covering the Super Coach Pro 6 and Super Coach Pro 10 including the HEPA versions, and the ProVac FS 6. It supersedes the earlier motors 834036 and 834099, so a machine originally built with either of those takes this one.
Motor failure on a backpack is hard to miss. Suction falls away even with a clean filter and an empty bag. The pitch climbs into a whine, or drops into a grinding note as the bearings go. There is a smell of hot insulation, and eventually the machine trips out or refuses to start at all.
This is the largest job you will do on one of these vacuums and it is worth doing properly. Professional installation is the safer route if the machine is going straight back onto a commercial rota.
