The Tail Vac earns its living in tight, dusty places, and its foam media filter is what stands between all that debris and the motor. As the foam clogs, airflow chokes down, the motor runs hotter, and pickup power slides — a slow decline that's easy to miss until the vacuum is struggling. Foam filters can be rinsed a few times, but the material eventually compresses and tears, and at that point replacement is the only fix that actually restores airflow. Keeping a couple of spares means the machine never has to wait on a wet filter to dry. Part #101949.
