Product details

The triangular lower foam pad, part 834042, is the cushion at the base of the frame on ProTeam's triangular-body backpack vacuums, sitting between the hard plastic shell and the wearer's lower back.

Fits the ProTeam Super Coach Pro 10, Super Coach Pro 6, ProVac FS 6, GoFree Flex Pro II, GoFree Flex Pro, 1073120, and 1073110.

Foam only cushions for as long as it can still spring back. Years of daily wear compress the cell structure until the pad goes flat and stops absorbing the shape of the frame against the operator's back, and at that point every bump the wearer takes, sitting down, climbing stairs, bending to move a chair, transmits straight through to the spine instead of being softened first. A pad that has cracked or torn along the edge is done regardless of how much loft remains in the middle, since torn foam sheds and no longer sits flush against the shell. Because the pad also spaces the frame slightly off the wearer's back, a flattened one changes how the whole unit balances rather than only how it feels, and some operators notice the pack sitting lower and pulling back on the shoulders once the padding underneath has given out.

  • Part: 834042
  • Fits: Super Coach Pro 10, Super Coach Pro 6, ProVac FS 6, GoFree Flex Pro II, GoFree Flex Pro, 1073120, 1073110
  • Position: lower base of the triangular frame, against the wearer's back
  • Replace when: flattened, cracked, or no longer springing back after use

It goes back in the same position as the original pad, so the swap stays a straightforward maintenance task rather than a teardown of the harness or frame. Check the mounting area for wear at the same time, since a damaged mount will let even a fresh pad shift out of position.
