The Ready Grip handle in this listing, part HS302190, is the Direct Connect version built without RF, meaning there is no wireless switch in the grip. On these installs the system is turned on and off by the hard wired low voltage switch in the wall inlet, and that switch has to be present and working for the handle to be usable.
Direct Connect is what saves time day to day. The hose twists straight into the handle with no coupler in between, which works with the new style hoses that carry a male cuff. An older Hide A Hose hose may need a mini cuff fitted first before it will make that connection.
The grip has an ergonomic shape and a soft touch finish, and a quick connect button lock that makes a firm connection to the Comfort Seal ratchet wand.
Replace a handle when the housing has cracked at the seam, when the wand no longer locks in securely, or when the grip has gone loose on the hose.
