Bissell Receiver Assembly -...

Product details
A Bissell ReadyClean machine that runs strong, sounds healthy, and still will not pick water up off the carpet usually has a problem at the coupling rather than the motor. Part 2035665 is that receiver: a moulded fitting on the machine housing where the cleaning wand or hose locks in.
This fitting takes load every time the wand or hose is attached, twisted, or stepped on, which makes it a common point of failure over years of use. A crack in the housing or a worn seal lets air leak in on the vacuum side, so the tool loses its ability to lift water even though both tanks are fine and the motor sounds no different than it always has. A wand or hose that will not stay seated, dropping loose mid-clean, is the other common symptom, and it tends to show up as intermittent suction loss before it becomes a total one.
Check the sealing surfaces of the receiver and of the tool that locks into it when fitting the replacement, since a new receiver paired with an old worn seal leaks in much the same way the original assembly did. Seat the new part fully and confirm the wand clicks in securely before putting the machine back into service.
Fitment covers the ReadyClean 40N7, 47B2, and 16W5 models. Confirm the model number printed on your machine before ordering rather than matching by shape.
