This 120V motor armature (Part #R1426) is the spinning rotor at the heart of the motor in early Rexair Rainbow models. It carries the commutator and windings that the carbon brushes ride on, converting electrical current into the rotation that powers the Rainbow's water-basin separator and suction airflow.

A worn or shorted armature causes brush arcing, loss of power, overheating, or a rough, noisy motor. Replacing it as part of a motor rebuild, along with new brushes, brings the suction and reliability back to original levels.
