R27CV is Riccar's cordless entry in the Clean Air series, a full-size upright running on a 37V lithium-ion battery instead of a cord, paired with a sealed bagged filtration path rated to hold 99.97 percent of dust and allergens at 0.3 microns.
Going cordless on a full-size upright changes how you clean more than it changes what gets cleaned. You are not unplugging and re-threading a cord around furniture legs and doorways every time you move to a new room. Riccar rates the 6Ah pack at up to 55 minutes on the low brushroll speed and 26 minutes on high, so the practical habit is to match speed to the surface rather than leaving it on high everywhere, and to charge on a schedule rather than after the pack has already run flat.
The rest of the machine is built like the corded Clean Air uprights rather than like a lightweight cordless. A metal brushroll with replaceable brush strips, a telescoping metal wand, LED headlights, a full bag sensor and a lifetime belt with a jam sensor all carry over, and the attachments reach about 15 ft. for above-floor work. That is the real argument for it over a cordless stick: the same cleaning hardware, without the cord.
