It is the carrier that parks an R65 attachment on the machine rather than leaving it to rattle around a drawer, so the tool is already within reach when a job shifts from floor cleaning to the work above it.
Holders live a rougher life than their size suggests. They take a knock every time the machine tips over, they get stood on when it is parked at floor level, and they are loaded off-axis whenever a tool is pulled away at an angle rather than straight off. Wipe the mounting point clean of dust before fitting the replacement so it seats flush rather than riding on trapped grit. Look at both halves of the joint first as well: if what broke is on the machine body rather than on the holder, a new holder will not put it right.
