B361-4200 seals the bag inlet on SUN.3 and JILL.3 models from Riccar and Simplicity. It is the ring of gasket material the bag collar seats against, and it decides whether incoming air travels through the bag or partly around it.
Once this gasket hardens, dust ends up loose in the bag chamber and the filters downstream load far faster than they should. A few dollars of gasket saves a filter service.
