SEBO Rubber Motor Mounting ...

Product details
7009 is the rubber mounting that carries the suction motor in SEBO's FELIX uprights and the DART. SEBO specifies it for motor 7041ER, the 120V, 1000W unit drawn at position 8 of the FELIX parts sheet, and its only purpose is to keep the motor from touching anything solid.
That sounds minor until it stops working. New rubber holds the motor away from the surrounding shell, absorbing the vibration a high-speed motor produces instead of passing it into the plastic. The compound ages on its own schedule, regardless of how many hours the machine has run: it hardens, crazes at the edges, then compresses far enough that the motor body settles against the housing. From that moment the vacuum drones rather than hums, the note changes pitch as the motor loads up on carpet, and the vibration it used to swallow starts working its way into the fasteners and mouldings around the motor bay. A machine that has become unpleasant to run while still cleaning perfectly well is usually describing this part and nothing else.
Fit new mountings whenever the motor is out, because the parts that share that space are all inches apart and the labour is the same. Motor seal 1047 sits at position 7 on the same sheet, sound insulation 7098 is catalogued for the same motor, and carbon brush set 05140S is the wear item inside it. Doing them together is the difference between one strip-down and three.
