The six-lobe Torx recess is what makes these screws survive repeated servicing, since the driver load is carried around a large contact area rather than on two thin cross flutes. That advantage disappears once the recess has begun to round. Anywhere a machine has been apart more than once the Torx screws are worth inspecting, because one that still drives today will slip at the worst possible moment during the next service, and extracting a spun screw from a plastic boss takes far longer than replacing it early.

Match the length before ordering, as the 16 mm and 20 mm screws carry the same head and the same drive and cannot be told from this one at a glance. Use a genuine T20 bit rather than an approximate substitute, and stop driving the moment the head seats rather than leaning into the last quarter turn.
