Product details

Rebuilding a SEBO DUO goes badly when one of the small case screws is chewed up or lost in the carpet. Part 0112ER answers that with ten cross-recessed pan head fasteners in M4, 10 mm long, made to DIN 7985, the size the DUO uses to pull its covers and brackets down against the body.

A rounded head or a cross-threaded shank is usually why a panel refuses to sit flush after a service. Driving a fresh screw lets the bit bite squarely and the fastener reach full clamp instead of turning in a recess it has already worn away. Keep these separate from the tapping screws on the same machine: they look alike at a glance, but only one of the two belongs in a tapped seat, and putting the wrong pattern in ruins the thread rather than the screw. Ten in a pack is enough to redo every fixing of this size while the DUO is open on the bench.

Telling the two patterns apart takes a moment and saves a component. A machine screw has an even thread of constant diameter running to a blunt end; a tapping screw is coarser and tapers towards a point. The first belongs in a tapped seat or a captive nut, the second in a plain plastic boss, and neither does the other any good.
