Product details
Ten millimetres of M4 machine thread, listed by SEBO for the DUO. A short machine screw like this holds a component onto a threaded seat where there is no room for anything longer, and part 112 replaces the original exactly, in the DIN 7985 cross-recessed pan head form the machine was built with.
The advantage of a machine thread over a self-tapping one is repeatability. It can come out and go back through service after service without wearing its seat away, which is why SEBO uses this type at points that are opened deliberately rather than once in the life of the machine. What finishes it instead is a burred or bent thread, usually from being started crooked, and no amount of force will make that version pull down square.
- Part number: 112
- Fits: SEBO DUO
- Specification: AM4 x 10 to DIN 7985
- Head and drive: cross-recessed pan head
- Thread: M4 machine thread, 10 mm long
- Sold: each
- Longer M4 screw to the same standard: part 1010 at 16 mm
Compare the thread of the old screw with the new one before fitting, and give the seat it goes into the same attention, because a damaged female thread will ruin a fresh screw on the first pass. If the replacement will not start with light finger pressure, stop and clear the thread rather than driving through the resistance.
Order one when the head has rounded, when the thread will no longer draw the component down onto its seat, or when a fastener has gone missing during a strip-down and the job cannot be closed up without it. Ten millimetres leaves little margin, so substituting a longer M4 screw is not an option here: it bottoms in the seat and holds the part off the surface it should be clamped against.
Look for this part when searching a SEBO DUO screw, an M4 x 10 machine screw for a vacuum, a DIN 7985 AM4 x 10 replacement or a genuine SEBO 112. Genuine SEBO fastener supplied by an authorized dealer, shipping in 2-5 business days.
