SEBO Machine Screw AM4 x 16...

$6.99

Product details

Unlike a tapping screw that cuts its own path into plastic, the AM4 x 16 runs into an M4 thread that already exists and can be undone and refitted repeatedly without losing grip. SEBO specifies it on the G series machines and on the 300 and 350 uprights, and supplies it singly as part 1010. DIN 7985 fixes the head form as a cross-recessed pan head, the low domed head that sits flush against a panel and spreads its load across the surface.

That combination makes it the fastener found at service points, the places a technician opens routinely, and by the same token the one most often dropped into a carpet and never seen again. Where a self-tapping screw would wear its seat away after several rebuilds, this one keeps working because the thread it engages is cut in metal rather than in the moulding.

  • Part number: 1010
  • Fits: SEBO G series machines and the 300 and 350 uprights
  • Specification: AM4 x 16 to DIN 7985
  • Head and drive: cross-recessed pan head
  • Thread: M4 machine thread, 16 mm long
  • Sold: each
  • Other M4 machine screws: part 112 at 10 mm to the same DIN 7985 form

If the old screw spins without tightening, the fault usually lies in the thread it goes into rather than in the screw itself, so inspect both before reassembly. A machine screw that has been forced into a crooked start picks up a burr along the thread, and no amount of driver pressure will make that version pull down square. Run the replacement in by hand for the first turns and let the driver take only the last of the load.

Order this when searching for a SEBO G series machine screw, a SEBO 300 or 350 body screw or a DIN 7985 AM4 x 16 replacement. Genuine SEBO part, shipped by an authorized dealer in 2-5 business days.
