Product details
At 30 mm this is the long one. Part 176, an AM4 x 30 screw to DIN 7985, reaches deep through the housing on SEBO's X-series and G-series machines, on the 370 COMFORT, on the 300 and the 350, on the ET-1 and ET-2 power heads, and on the DUO. It is sold individually.
DIN 7985 is the pan-head cross-recess standard, so the head sits proud and takes a Phillips driver. The reason to order by the full designation is that several M4 screws of different lengths appear on the same machine, often within a few centimetres of each other, and they are not interchangeable — a shorter screw in this hole simply will not reach the material it is meant to be pulling together.
- Fits: SEBO X series, G series, 370 COMFORT, 300 and 350, the ET-1 and ET-2 power heads, and the DUO
- Size: AM4 x 30
- Standard: DIN 7985
- Pack: sold individually
- Order as: SEBO part 176
Deep fastenings such as this one carry more of the clamping load than the short screws around them. Strip the thread here and you are left with an assembly that never quite pulls together no matter how hard everything else is tightened, usually announced by a creak when the machine is picked up or a seam you can open with a thumbnail. If the boss itself has broken up rather than the screw, fitting a new screw alone will not cure it.
One designation covering this many machines is a consequence of SEBO reusing a small set of fasteners across the range, which is convenient if you are stocking a workshop drawer rather than repairing a single vacuum. A few spares ordered alongside the part you actually came for are rarely wasted.
Searches for a SEBO X series screw, an ET-2 housing screw or DIN 7985 M4 x 30 all point here. Keep the old screw for comparison, and note where each length came from before the parts tray gets mixed. Genuine SEBO hardware from an authorized dealer.
