Numbered 160 in SEBO's AUTOMATIC X7/X8 parts diagram and supplied ten to a bag as 01029ER, this is the 2.9 x 13 mm C-point screw used through those uprights, the CE12 Softcase and the DISCO polisher.
Fasteners of this diameter cut their own thread into plastic, and each refit takes a little more material out of the boss. Once a hole has opened up, the screw simply turns without ever pulling down, and the panel it was holding starts to lift at one corner. Fresh hardware bites what remains of the original thread far better than a screw that has already been in and out three times, which is the whole argument for buying a bag rather than reusing what came off.
The other argument is arithmetic. A single strip-down of an X7 or X8 involves more than one of these, and losing one to the carpet mid-job is common enough that most benches keep spares within reach. Ten is enough to complete a service with every fixing renewed and still have a few left for the next machine. Length matters as much as diameter here: this is the 13 mm screw, and the 9.5 mm and 16 mm versions of the same 2.9 mm thread are separate part numbers for good reason.

Use a properly fitting cross-point driver and stop as soon as the head seats. These screws thread into plastic, and the last quarter turn under a heavy hand is what strips the boss rather than what makes the joint tight. Ten in a bag means there is no reason to force a doubtful one.
