Anyone who has opened one of these machines knows how readily a fastener this small vanishes into a carpet. Having nine more in the bag turns a lost screw from a stalled repair into a non-event, and it means every fastener going back into a serviced canister has clean, unstretched threads rather than ones already worked twice. Self-tapping screws in plastic are consumable in a way metal-to-metal hardware is not: each refit cuts a fraction more out of the boss, and the point at which a screw stops holding arrives without warning.
These are the long fasteners of the 2.9 mm range, cone-pointed and 16 mm under the head, reaching the deeper bosses in the AIRBELT D1 Turbo and D4 Premium shells. The three 2.9 mm lengths in SEBO's range are easy to confuse once they are loose, so keep the bag closed and labelled rather than tipping it into a general parts tin. A bag that stays sorted is worth more on the bench than a tin holding twice as many screws of uncertain size.
Fitting is straightforward with a correctly sized cross-point driver. Take the same care on the way in as on the way out, since a bit that slips under load damages the recess and the plastic around it at the same time.
